How about a Tequila party?

Ahhh Tequila. That wonderful liquid that makes me hump things. The stuff of nights I can't remember and no one else forgets. Tequila party? Sounds like a good time, but who invited the politicians?

The Tequila Party in this case is the tentative name of a grassroots political movement. Inspired by the Tea Party, but this time Latino Democrats.

Cool. More political movements make for more interesting politics and maybe some real change, hopefully in a positive direction and not the change I'm scraping together to buy ramen for dinner.

I'm not making this up, that's what they are calling themselves. I think they need a better name, there's too much comedy that can come from this. And alcohol and politics shouldn't be mixed. No, scrap that. Let's get all the senators and congressmen loaded up on tequila and see what happens!

The Hobbit is racist!

Well Peter Jackson must be anyway. And I'm probly going to come off as a racist by the time I'm done with this. A British actress of Pakistani descent was turned down for a role as a Hobbit based on her skin colour.
She tells the Waikato Times, "It's 2010 and I still can't believe I'm being discriminated against because I have brown skin. The casting manager basically said they weren't having anybody who wasn't pale-skinned. I would love to be an extra. But it just seemed like a shame because obviously hobbits are not brown or black or any other colour.

Apparently, there are no brown-skinned Hobbits. I never read about any in the books. I never saw anything but short, pale Hobbits in the previous Lord of the Rings movies and in the old animated Hobbit movie. It would make sense for the sake of storyline continuity that they only have pale skinned Hobbits. Isn't that how they are described in the books? I don't think this constitutes racism, though I guess they could have had a make-up artist paint her white. Doubt that would have been acceptable.

Humphreys has now created a campaign group on Facebook.com titled "Hire Hobbits of all colours! Say no to Hobbit racism!"

I haven't found it yet, if anyone does, please drop me a link.

I'm finding this to be ridiculous. Seriously, I've never seen nor read about a Hobbit that was anything other than short and white. While we are playing the race card here, why don't cast Shaquille O'Neal and Yao Ming as Hobbits as well? And, in the name of equality, have Gandalf played by a fat black woman. I got it! Tyler Perry's Madea as Gandalf! That's got some serious comedy potential and will keep blacks, fat people and transvestites from complaining. Also, they need to add some flamboyantly gay Asian Hobbits. And some Hispanic Hobbits, bot gay and straight, maybe a drag queen or two. I mean who cares if J.R.R. Tolkein's work get's totally butchered, we need diversity!

In fact, some movies should be remade to include more racial and cultural diversity. For instance, Roots should be redone with Caucasian, Hispanic and Asian slaves. Pocahontas should have more people of colour because Native Americans clearly were not one colour. Same goes for 300, the Spartans couldn't have been all white. Let's just throw continuity and keeping to the story out the window in the name of diversity. Come on people, it's 2010!

So glad I don't fly

Heard about the TSA in the news? Kinda hard not to. I think the terrorists have won.

Seriously. Think about it. I didn't like flying before. No I'm going to be poked, prodded, scanned by a scanner that can see through my clothes and/or patted down. And those pat downs are like a fondling from what I've heard. No thanks. Now I have to worry about getting molested or having my bare body posted somewhere online. Neither of which I'm going to get paid for.

They put bombs in their shoes, so we had to take off our shoes. They put bombs in their underwear, so we have pat downs and body scans. Next they will shove the bombs up their asses and we will have cavity searches. Seems like every time they do something, the TSA starts to check that something afterwards. Like it's going to change what happened in the past. Not say they should start with the cavity searches now.

If that's not already a lack of common sense, why are they searching kids? there was an 8 year old that was strip searched. Then they was a 4 year old in a wheelchair with leg braces that had his braces removed and was forced to walk. What were they thinking?

If you are scared to fly and living in some level of fear, they won. And that's the way it looks to me.

Why can't people just give me money?

Or why can't this blog make me money?

Seriously though. I have heard of a few people that started up websites asking people for donations to get them out of debt or for boob jobs, but no one ever puts anything in my tip jar over here, WTF?

Maybe the "Help a poor man get drunk" line is a bad approach. I might have to think up a better one.

What gets me though is the fact that I don't make jack shit off the Google ads. All the time I have had this blog they have been here and I haven't even made enough off them for Google to send me a check.

Am I doing something wrong here?

I has a new Laptop

And I'm typing this blog on it now.

It's a Toshiba Satellite L675D. Here's what it looks like on Toshiba's website.

Mine has a few Angelspit stickers on it and I only paid $499 for it at Office Depot's Black Friday sale. The folks there were pretty nice too. They had donuts and bottled water for those of us waiting in line. And all I had to do is just go up to the register, tell them what I wanted, they sent someone to grab it. Door opened at 6:00, I was out of there with a new laptop in hand by 6:05.

I set this one up differently from my Dell. My Dell only had linux. It came with Vista, I hated it. The drive got wiped and I installed linux and never looked back. Well not until I tried installing games on it and ran into compatibility issues. Seriously, when you have to recompile the kernel, edit several text files, tweak a virtual windows registry, apply several patches, sacrifice a virgin, do a voodoo dance, and offer up your own soul in eternal damnation just to get one game to run, you start to reconsider things. Now can someone pass me the goat's blood? I need a virgin to masturbate in it so I can play Minecraft, the penguin said so.

So I have Windows on here for playing games and Kubuntu linux installed on a small partition for everything else. So far I'm liking it this way.

And aside from being able to play games once again at work, I'll be able to type my book instead of hand writing it. I type faster than I write. It's easier for everyone else to read too.

That's about it for now.

My birthday is in less than a month - 12/22

And since I didn't get anything I asked for last year, I'm going to ask for the same stuffs again.

That post from last year can be viewed here. Buy me something.

As usual, I'll just be happy if I can get someone to give me a ride somewhere so I can go out and have a few drinks and some sort of a good time. It's a Wednesday, so I'm pretty likely to have the night off.

In this blog I mock the news

So lets get started.

Paris Hilton cleans graffiti in style.
Leave it to Paris Hilton to do community service in style! The hotel heiress was snapped cleaning up graffiti along Hollywood Boulevard on Friday wearing tight black pants, big hoop earrings, and high heels. In September, Paris pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges related to a drug bust in Las Vegas. She was sentenced to a year of probation, was ordered to complete a drug abuse program, pay a $2,000 fine, and serve 200 hours of community service.

Because when you are the world's richest coke whore, you need to look hot when cleaning graffiti. Why is this news? I don't know, but it made me laugh.

The Pope says condom use is acceptable in "single justified cases"
Taking the Roman Catholic world by surprise, Benedict says that under some circumstances it might be acceptable for a prostitute to use a condom.

...or an altar boy.

Scientists have contained antimatter
For the first time, antimatter atoms have been caged and kept in existence long enough to be probed by scientific instruments.

"We're very excited about the fact that we can actually now trap antimatter atoms long enough to study their properties and see if they're very different from matter," said Makoto Fujiwara, who led the Canadian contribution to ALPHA, the international collaboration that made the discovery.

Cool! is warp drive next?

iPad 2 coming next year.
In a bit of news from the Apple rumormongering department, an analyst with Gleacher & Company is throwing his hat in the ring with a prediction that Apple's iPad 2—a completely unofficial name that's been making the news circuit the last week or so—is going to debut in April of next year.

Still not getting one.

That's about all I'm really seeing at the moment.

Well I'm shocked

I didn't think he possessed the nerve to do it, but he did. Pastor Adam C. Briggs commented on my blog about him. And he commented on another blog where I made a remark about him.

Let's take a look at the post and comment here.

I decided my questions in reply were not enough, he's making some pretty striking statements.
I was hoping to have more time to make a longer comment, but for now I will say that I stand by everything I have said to you. You are gross and despicable. Be thankful that God has withheld His judgment this long.

Your educational and occupational standing pale in comparison to your wickedness and perversion and I pray that you don't get near my precious children who are pure and as yet undefiled by the worldly like you.

Gross and despicable? Wickedness and perversion? Them is fightin' words! Not really, but those are some pretty strong things to be saying about a person. I'd like to know just what it is about me that makes me gross. Or despicable. Or wicked. Or even perverse. I thought I was pretty nice and rather upstanding. Am I mistaken? Perhaps the good pastor can enlighten me on these things. Especially the wickedness and perversion part. I think my educational background is pretty impressive. Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering, completed in 1998 and Bachelor of Secondary Education, Mathematics Emphasis, still in progress. And I took courses at Cambridge University during one summer. I think that's pretty impressive, not as impressive as having a PhD, but still better than average. I've been listed twice in the National Deans list on my current degree and graduated with honors on my previous. I also put myself through school. I'm not saying all this to pat myself on the back, but rather to find what level of perversion and wickedness have I committed that makes it pale in comparison. I want answers!

The "Be thankful that God has withheld His judgment" line is almost comical. While I do not believe that any god exists due to a lack of proof, let's for the sake of argument say that this one did exist. Would an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient creator of all things have any concern about me? If he did, I'd say that he needs to get his priorities straight. Would it not be better to pass his judgement on rapists, murders, abortion doctors, child molesters and the like? Oh wait. He's not doing that either, is he? I could be wrong here, but a guy that works at a hotel, substitute teaches on his days off, goes to college when he can afford it and dances on stage in a dress doesn't really sound like much of a criminal. Seems rather petty in comparison to a murderer, don't you think? Aside from that, wouldn't passing his judgement interfere with my free will?

I think I'm starting to see a reason for me not to get near his children. They might think he's wrong and a bit of an idiot. Not to mention insecure and a jerk on top of that. Good chance of them losing respect for him.
Also, I stand by burning the koran. The moslems are a wicked and murderous people who are infiltrating our country at an alarming rate. I hope that the koran will one day be censored from our country.

Adam, do you realise that the same First Amendment right that allows you to preach the gospel also allows them to have their Qurans and preach from them? Christians also have a history of being murderous and wicked. Adolf Hitler was a Christian. I wouldn't want the Bible or any other religious text censored from this country. Such an idea is like spitting in the face of those that founded this country. And you have the nerve to call me wicked and despicable. You should be ashamed of yourself.

So this book that I'm writing

Yeah I'm writing a book. It's a cyberpunk themed sci-fi story that centers around the dark and vengeful side of humanity. I'm sure something like it has been done before.

I'm toying with the idea of publishing it online. Not all at once, but maybe a chapter or part of a chapter a week. I also plan on self-publishing it when finished if anyone wants it in printed or downloadable form.

That being said, to anyone that is reading this, what do you think? Have you done anything like this? Would you? Any advice? Any questions?

I need to say something

Not really. Maybe I just want to say something. It's been a week and I haven't posted anything in my blog and I just think I should say something. Haven't really felt the need to say much.

So what's going on?

Well, we have COD Black Ops on the Xbox. It rocks. Might have to make use of the theater feature and post vids on Youtube, people seem to like them.

I've been watching a rather interesting documentary about Marjoe. It's here on Youtube if you are interested. I got a pretty big laugh out of watching it. He was an Evangelical preacher since he was 4, but didn't believe a word of what he was saying. It was all an act. Christians, proving PT Barnum right since the beginning.

My name is Pastor Adam Briggs of Damascus Road Bible Fellowship, today is November the 10th 2010, we're here in Indianapolis, it's Wednesday morning and I know full well I'm full of shit. I need your donations because God forbid I get a real job.

Do I have anything else to say? Well maybe that I should have started this blog earlier. It's getting up on the end of my shift at work. I am wondering if I can convince the powers at be here to allow me to open up a coffee and snack stand at the desk during my shift. There's a tiny demand for it. And by tiny demand I mean I piss off an average of 1-2 people a night by telling them there's place on property to get coffee or food at this time. Maybe if I also sold cigarettes too. Nearest place to get those is a mile away during my shift. Yeah, I have my doubts on it being profitable. Maybe if I also sold rainbow coloured cookies. hmmmm.

I should have voted today, but I didn't

Maybe if "None of the Above" was an option I would have. That's honestly the way I feel. That should be something on every ballot. That idea came to me through my good friend Shane Blancett.

Did notice via Facebook that there were some gay or pro-gay people elected to office today. That's all good and fine, but one's sexual preference should not be a determining factor. It shouldn't even be news. Whoopty-fucking-do, you're gay, here's a rainbow cookie, now do your fucking job.

Anything happening in the news today's that's going to piss me off? Let's check Yahoo!

Why in the ever loving fuck is Dancing with the Stars front page news? Fuck Yahoo! Let's check Google.

Tea Party Movement scored some wins.
A grass roots conservative movement? Well that's a little different. Actually I think the Tea Party has some nice dreams and beliefs. I even agree with them on some things, well a lot of things. I like the idea of lower taxes, smaller government, gun ownership, strong military, and balanced budgets. All good things. I do think that government bailouts and stimulus packages are something that should have never been considered. I wouldn't go so far as to say illegal, though. My issue with them is the talk of "Traditional family values" and "strong belief in the foundational Judaic/Christian values." That kind of talk from politicians makes this bisexual, transgendered atheist a bit nervous. If they really want Intrusive Government Stopped like they say on their website, then they shouldn't even mention this. I'll stick with the Libertarian Party, thank you.

Hmmm. With the Democrats still controlling the Senate and the Republicans now taking the House, looks like at least 2 years of the government getting jack shit done.

San Francisco Bans Happy Meals.
WTF??? "The city's board of supervisors votes to forbid restaurants from giving away toys with meals that have high levels of calories, sugar and fat." WTF?????

Shouldn't it be the parent's responsibility? I know a Happy Meal is not all that healthy, but do they really need to be outlawed?

Court weighs in on state law banning violent video games.
Does anyone find as much irony as I do in the guy that played "The Terminator" signing this ban into law in California? It's in the Supreme Court now. I like video games and I do prefer the violent ones. I recently bought Fallout New Vegas and I have Call of Duty: Black Ops on pre-order. I'm an adult, I understand the violence isn't real. Also, in order to get these games into my possession, I had to have my ID checked. They have a Mature rating and stores don't sell them to minors. I think that's all that is necessary. It says right on the package why it has that rating. If you don't want your kid to play a game that has that content, don't buy it for them. It's really that simple.

I think I've had enough of the news for now.

Christmas started pissing me off early this year

Really I guess I can't blame it directly on Christmas this time, but on the local Wal-Mart and K-mart. Still I'm pissed. Went to the Wal-Mart after I got off work to pick up some groceries and noticed that the Halloween stuff was being pushed aside and the Christmas stuff was being put in it's place. WHAT THE FUCK?!?!? Stopped by the K-Mart before work to get a drink and saw they did the same thing. WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!?

It's the day before Halloween. Couldn't they wait until after? Better yet, how about waiting until after Thanksgiving? Bad enough Christmas has ruined my birthday every year as long as I have been alive, but does it have to creep it's way into my favourite holiday as well?

My name is Pastor Adam Briggs of Damascus Road Bible Fellowship, today is October the 30th 2010, we're here in Indianapolis, it's Saturday night and I'm going to talk about burning copies of Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas on Internet message boards but I'll never have the nerve to do it.

Well isn't that special. What do fundies do for Halloween? Picket costume stores? Fundamentalist Christians, how do they work?

And in between people and work that keeps me busy, I blog

I said it before. I'll say it again. This hotel I work at could really benefit from having an extra person on weekends to do housekeeping, maintenance and security. Yeah, that's more they have to pay out in labor, more that cuts in to the profits, but that's why you jack up the price a little on weekends. Just a thought. There's probly more to it than what's om my mind here. I'm sure there's a reason why there has never anything more than auditors on this shift. Probly more cost effective that way or something.

Whatever. That's all I got to say about that.

Is a fully automatic shotgun too much to ask for?

Or a classic, a mounted MG-42 (Hitler's buzzsaw!) on the desk labeled "Complaints Department."

This place can stress me out so much. Yes, that much.

I think I've said enough now. I think you get my point.

In other news....

My name is Pastor Adam Briggs of Damascus Road Bible Fellowship, today is October the 29th 2010, we're here in Indianapolis, it's Friday night and I'm afraid to respond to this blog.

Yeah I'm not done picking on him. It's too much fun and I doubt he's got the balls to say anything to me here. Maybe I should spam his blog with links to mine. Maybe that would just be too asinine for me.

Moving on, I need to get seriously cracking on losing weight. I want to be thin by the next DragonCon. I want to go there in a Sisters of Battle costume and I want to look DAMNED good in it. I want to be at the 40K tables wearing it while I play my Chaos Noise Marines army. That should really fuck with some heads. I want across from me to be another Sister looking just as hot if not more so fielding Crimson Fists or Blood Angels. That would be just fucking epic.

If I can just get one of these made, one for Kathy, it would just fucking rock. Hope she can handle all the attention. There's a few other costumes I want that I need the right body to go with, but this is the big one. I'd wear it on stage too.

The dumb things I hear in the still of the night...and stuff.

I've worked overnight shifts for a long time, I kinda like it. No, really I do. Most places where I have worked overnight bring a new meaning to the term "daytime drama." I'll keep my overnight shift, thank you.

I get annoyed with how people react when they find out what hours I work. It's always the same lines. Like "When do you sleep?" I get that a lot. When do you think I sleep? During the day! Seems pretty common sense. I think that's part of the problem.

There's another common reaction. "You much drink a lot of coffee." Why? I mean, I do drink coffee. Lately I've been drinking tea, but I don't really need to. It's like alcohol, I'm drinking it for flavour and effect.

I guess in both cases they are just assuming that I haven't been sleeping all day. Working my hours is pretty weird, but so am I. Probly why I've been doing it for so long.

Anyways

I ran this little app on facebook to tell me what words I use most. Both "fuck" and "fucking" are in the top 10. I'm rather amused that I say fuck more times than Zoog. And he's from Australia. What the fuck? BTW, Zoog is one half of Angelspit, and if you don't know who they are, you should look them up.

I'm still thinking in some way I'm selling myself short, I really need to do something about that.

My mind has been churning a lot with creative shit though, so that's good. Keep watching, I just might do something cool.

That being said, it's getting up on time for me to leave work.
