Ken Ham Says Aliens Are Going To Hell

I'd like to believe that Gene Roddenberry was not just a writer, not just a visionary, but a prophet. And that right now there's Klingons and Romulans looking down on us from a cloaked D7 in orbit of Earth. And every time a creationist makes some public statement, they laugh louder and facepalm harder than we ever could.

And if that sounds as ridiculous to you as it does to me, then you should read a few blogs from Ken Ham. Let me share one with you about Ken's opinions on space exploration.

"I’m shocked at the countless hundreds of millions of dollars that have been spent over the years in the desperate and fruitless search for extraterrestrial life. Even Bill Nye “the Science Guy,” in our recent debate, happily gloated about tax dollars being spent toward this effort. And now, secular scientists are at it again."

For starters, Bill Nye spanked Ken Ham in that debate like a dominatrix spanks a tranny in a schoolgirl outfit at a fetish party. Ken really needs to get over it and let the butt hurt heal. Moving on, this coming from a guy who spent millions on a museum that represents the Flintstones as documentary? This coming from a guy who is spending millions building a boat in a land locked state that would not be seaworthy even if it could get to the sea? I don't think Ken is in a position to say anything about anyone's spending habits.

"Of course, secularists are desperate to find life in outer space, as they believe that would provide evidence that life can evolve in different locations and given the supposed right conditions!  The search for extraterrestrial life is really driven by man’s rebellion against God in a desperate attempt to supposedly prove evolution!

A UK news site recently reported, “Aliens are out there. We’ll find a new earth within 20 years.” Recent technologies have developed new space telescopes that will be used to study exoplanets (planets orbiting other stars) with the hope of discovering habitable, earth-like worlds that might contain life—at least that is what they hope for!"

It's too bad he didn't provide a link to the alleged UK News site. I'd only like it to satisfy my curiosity about how badly he may have butchered their report. We do not have to leave the Earth to find evidence that evolution is clearly a fact. Plenty of that here. Along with plenty of better reasons for searching for habitable planets and life elsewhere in the galaxy. I can only imagine what Ken Ham would have been like if he lived in Europe during the age of exploration.

"You see, according to the secular, evolutionary worldview there must be other habited worlds out there. As the head of NASA, Charles Borden, puts it, “It’s highly improbable in the limitless vastness of the universe that we humans stand alone.” Secularists cannot allow earth to be special or unique—that’s a biblical idea (Isaiah 45:18). If life evolved here, it simply must have evolved elsewhere they believe."

I'm going to have to refer to Tyler Durden on this one.

"Listen up, maggots. You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else."

Aside from Ken Ham's obvious need to feel special, he clearly does not understand probability. Even if something has the same chances of happening as a royal fizbin, that does not change the fact that it happened nor does it mean that it cannot happen again.

"The Bible, in sharp contrast to the secular worldview, teaches that earth was specially created, that it is unique and the focus of God’s attention (Isaiah 66:1 and Psalm 115:16). Life did not evolve but was specially created by God, as Genesis clearly teaches. Christians certainly shouldn’t expect alien life to be cropping up across the universe."

So let me get this straight, your god belches out this infinitely large universe and only gives a shit about one tiny blue speck, most of which can't even support his favourite creation? That's more pointless than building a boat nowhere near water.

"Now the Bible doesn’t say whether there is or is not animal or plant life in outer space.  I certainly suspect not. The Earth was created for human life. And the sun and moon  were created for signs and our seasons—and to declare the glory of God."

I can devote an entire video to everything wrong with that statement, but not today. I will say this, creationists like Ken Ham are quite good at making their god look like an idiot, or a major fucking douche, or, like in this case, both.

"And I do believe there can’t be other intelligent beings in outer space because of the meaning of the gospel. You see, the Bible makes it clear that Adam’s sin affected the whole universe. This means that any aliens would also be affected by Adam’s sin, but because they are not Adam’s descendants, they can’t have salvation. One day, the whole universe will be judged by fire, and there will be a new heavens and earth. God’s Son stepped into history to be Jesus Christ, the “Godman,” to be our relative, and to be the perfect sacrifice for sin—the Savior of mankind."

Funny thing about this, many news outlets said that Ken Ham said aliens were going to hell. What does this sound like to you? Also, remember what I said about creationists making their god look like a major fucking douche?

"Jesus did not become the “GodKlingon” or the “GodMartian”!  Only descendants of Adam can be saved.  God’s Son remains the “Godman” as our Savior.  In fact, the Bible makes it clear that we see the Father through the Son (and we see the Son through His Word).  To suggest that aliens could respond to the gospel is just totally wrong."

There's some interesting parallels between the legend of Kahless the Unforgettable and Jesus. Clearly a wayward Klingon came to Earth through a temporal rift and shared the legend of Kahless. That story over the years became corrupted with the local folklore and became the gospel of Jesus.

You don't believe me? Were you there?

"Many secularists want to discover alien life hoping that aliens can answer the deepest questions of life: “Where did we come from?” and “What is the purpose and meaning of life?” But such people are ignoring the revelation from the infinite God behind the whole universe. The Creator has told us where we came from: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1; Nehemiah 9:6). And He told us what life’s purpose is: “Fear God and keep His commandments” (Ecclesiastes 12:13)."

Well that doesn't make for a very purposeful life. Clearly, Ken Ham is about as bad at public relations as he is at science. More than likely, finding alien life is not going to tell us where we came from. Unless of course we find aliens who have the answer and they want to share it with us. A better answer to that question would be found on a planet that has the same or similar conditions as what Earth was believed to have had around when life would have first appeared.  Such a planet would not be habitable for us. Searching for habitable planets has a more practical application in finding new homes and resources. Finding intelligent life provides opportunities for technology and cultural exchanges. Or warfare. Ken Ham is is not seeing the big picture in any of this and instead appears to be trying to had his god a victim card. Moving on, you and only you can assign a purpose to your life. If a man, alien, god or anything else tries to tell you the purpose to your life, then you sternly tell it to fuck off.

There's not much more in the blog I'm referencing other than a sales pitch for a book and a blooklet that can be ordered in bulk to spread Ken Ham's delusions. It should be noted the Ken did a follow up blog as he was experiencing rectal discomfort over news outlets claiming he said aliens were going to hell. The pain was so great he had to film it.


I don't think he's going to find any aliens with that telescope. He's awfully arrogant for a guy who's faith and worldview could be completely destroyed by a scientific discovery. He's not even leaving room for goal post shifting here.

And speaking of arrogance and Ken Ham's faith, I've read the gospel, where does arrogance on this level fit into meekness and humility? Pretty sure the bible says at least a few things about arrogance. 1 Samuel 2:3, Proverbs 8:13, Romans 12:3, Isaiah 13:11...

Should aliens find us before we find them, whether they be Vulcans, Votans, Minbari, Turians, or something we haven't seen in science fiction, I'd really rather they not see such an arrogant, anti-science position. Were I a visitor from another world, and this is what I saw, I don't think I'd want to make first contact.
